Troop 5 meets on Sunday afternoons from 5:00pm to 6:30pm. We welcome visiting boys interested in being a Boy Scout and ask that their parents or guardians stay, observe, and visit during the Troop meeting.

What to Expect

The potential scout will be our guest and will be treated as if he were a member of Troop 5. He will do that afternoon's activities with the troop. The activities are planned by the Senior Patrol Leader (the lead scout of the troop) and the Scout Master (adult leader).

Parents have questions that boys don't think to ask - So, we invite parents to stay and meet with the other adult leaders and ask questions. You are welcome to observe your son during the troop meeting at any time. Parents are always welcome!

Where

The troop meets at Second Presbyterian Church at 4200 St. Paul Street. We meet in Smith Hall, the entrance to which is located at the top of the stairs adjacent to the corner of St. Paul Street and Stratford Road.

Located in the Guilford neighborhood of North Baltimore, Second Presbyterian is on the triangle formed by Saint Paul Street, Chalcote Road and Stratford Road. The church is located midway from Cold Spring Lane (to the North) and University Parkway (to the South).

What to Wear

Our scouts wear their Scout uniform to meetings. So, if you have one, wear it. Otherwise, T-shirts and pants is fine. Some of our scouts come straight from other activities and do not wear their uniform as a result.
